Consequences of malnutrition vary depending on the nutrient(s) that are being under- or over consumed. This week is your chance to research one of the nutrients and learn what happens if we consume too much or too little of it. Choose the topic those are listed above.
The post should answer the following questions:
What nutrient did you choose?
Is it a macro or micro nutrient? If micro, specify if it’s a vitamin or mineral
What job(s) does this nutrient have in the body?
What happens if a person does not consume enough of this nutrient?
What happens if a person consumes too much of this nutrient?
Don’t just list vocabulary words or name diseases. Be detailed and thorough with your answers. Explain everything so your classmates can understand and learn from your post. Be sure to get your information from reputable sources (remember the CRAAP criteria from week 1). Cite any sources you use.
